About
Under HKBU’s “One University, Two Campuses” initiative, the Extended Study Programme (ESP) enables students to study at both the Hong Kong and the Zhuhai campuses (Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University). By spending a semester or a full academic year in the Greater Bay Area, students broaden their cultural perspectives, enhance professional competencies, and engage with Fortune Global 500 companies through internship opportunities.
The ESP also offers Immersive Tours (3-day, 2-night) to the Greater Bay Area, offering a high-impact experience of the region’s technological and social landscape. These tours feature site visits to leading technological companies and innovation hubs, as well as engagement with industry CEOs through High Table Dinners, which serve as a dialogue for those interested in pursuing a long-term career in the region or the Chinese Mainland. Such experiences provide HKBU students with the firsthand insights and global fluency necessary to excel in an increasingly interconnected world.
Jointly founded in Zhuhai by Beijing Normal University and HKBU, Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU), formerly known as UIC, is the first full-scale higher education cooperation between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong.
BNBU offers innovative programmes delivered in English across four divisions: Business & Management, Culture & Creativity, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Science & Technology. With state-of-the-art facilities featuring the latest technology on its campus, BNBU offers a stimulating and inspiring learning environment supported by a global community of top scholars from more than 30 countries and regions.
In today’s competitive landscape, the Extended Study Programme (ESP) is vital for nurturing “future-shaping” talent. The programme integrates academic rigor with exclusive professional development, offering students internship opportunities at Fortune Global 500 companies such as Tencent, Lenovo, ByteDance, HSBC, Citi Bank, TCL, China Life, and Vanke. Through these opportunities and expert mentorship, students gain hands-on experience and build global networks.
The ESP also features Immersive Tours to the Greater Bay Area which provide a high-impact immersive experience for students, offering a condensed look at the region’s technological surge and direct access to engagement with industry leaders.
By supporting these initiatives, you invest in an unparalleled educational model within the Greater Bay Area – one of the world’s most vibrant economic hubs. Your contribution ensures that HKBU students graduate with the cross-cultural fluency and professional agility required to lead on a global stage.
